The new LDGRB-01, part of Renesas' mainstream RX600 family, is built around an RXv3 CPU core running at 120 MHz, and each device integrates flash memory that supports fast read access at 60 MHz clock speed, providing superior real-time performance with a CoreMark score of 707. In addition, the energy efficiency of these microcontrollers is among the best in its class at 48.8 CoreMark/mA.

Optimized for contactless applications, these microcontrollers incorporate a capacitive touch sensing unit that combines high sensitivity with excellent noise tolerance, enabling these devices to be used to implement contactless proximity switches. In addition, a serial sound interface can be used to connect digital microphones that support remote speech recognition.

In addition to the LDGRB-01 microcontroller, Renesas has introduced two new evaluation boards that allow users to easily evaluate the RX671 without the need for a separate debugger. Both boards are connectors with Wi-Fi Pmod expansion boards (RTK00WFMX0B00000BE) for evaluation using wireless network connections.
