The SYNCHROTACT 5 is ABB's fifth generation of SYNCHROTACT products for the automatic synchronization of generators and power lines, as well as the parallel connection of synchronous lines. They are designed for fully automatic operation of two-channel or single-channel systems. Synchronous equipment is used in power plants where generators need to be connected to power lines in parallel, or in power stations where two synchronous lines are connected in parallel in substations.
