The SD83x power supply unit is designed to comply with all applicable electrical safety data as specified in EN 50178 Harmonized European Standard publication and additional safety and functional data as required by EN 61131-2 and UL 508.

The secondary output circuit can be used for SELV or PELV applications. They are switching mode power supply units that convert the supply voltage to 24 volts DC. These power supplies can be used in both non-redundant and redundant applications.

Redundant applications require diode voting units SS823 or SS832. With SD83x series power supply units, no power filter is required. They offer soft boot functionality; The SD83x's power supply does not trip fuses or ground fault circuit breakers.
