"The Woodward L Series combines an L Series electric actuator with integrated speed control software to control the speed of a diesel or gas engine. The L Series is a microprocessor-based control unit that is integrated into the actuator to form a single integrated package.

The Woodward L Series Integrated Engine Control System is the first engine speed control system to offer such power in such a compact package. L Series controller

The system is based on a microprocessor and can be easily programmed to match the operating parameters of each engine you produce. The L Series provides speed control through software-selectable speed set points, dynamics, fuel limits, and start/stop behavior.

The L Series control system is mounted with a traditional external link bracket and is available in a variety of mechanical configurations, including one integrated in the rotary diesel pump and another integrated with the throttle body or throttle body and mixer (product specification 03222). Externally mounted systems can be configured to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise (standard) axes to increase fuel.

The efficient torque motors of the L-Series controllers provide a nominal stroke of 0.34 N·m (0.25 lb-ft) over a nominal stroke range of 60° to operate fuel or air control equipment (see
