The 8404-214 is the fourth and final ProAct integrated speed control model and is part of the ProAct and ProAct Plus actuator and drive families. Due to its size, this model can only be installed in the base mounting configuration, when installed in the base mounting configuration, four M8x1.25 screws are required, and the minimum mesh of screws should be 16 mm. Screw torque should be at least 200 pounds per inch when installed.

All input and output signals on model 8404-214 run on a 24-pin connector. For information on the pin description and all its electrical requirements, please refer to Chapter 4 of Woodward's manual 26246 for ProAct ISC Integrated Speed Control Actuators Type I to Type IV. Note that when you connect this model separately, the shielded stranding pairing is essential, as shown in Figure 2-26246 of the 2 manual. Note that wires exposed outside the shield must be as short as possible and no longer than two inches.

As the final PISC model, the 8404-214 model requires a larger current capacity as well as power and current transients. When operating this model, keep referring to the manual to ensure that the actuator is operating as required. If any hazard or error occurs, it may result in potential damage as well as possible explosion and damage to the control valve.
