Woodward ProAct Integrated Speed Control (PISC) integrated throttle body Model 8235-351 works with PISC III actuators. Models with PISC III actuators require base mounting due to their larger mass, but in some cases flange mounting can be performed as long as vibration levels have been assessed to ensure low stress levels on the device. A clearance of at least 5 mm is required when mounting the device in order to provide proper support between the electronic housing and the mounting bracket.

When operating, models 8235-351 May experience errors involving the governor. If the engine refuses to start, several issues may arise: verifying that power is present on the correct governor terminals, ensuring that the "On Off" application contacts are firmly closed, and ensuring that the starting fuel limit on the governor does not avoid the appropriate airflow required. When connected to the appropriate actuator, the PISC model can be set up to run as position control, but only for the most basic actuator applications.

When the 8235-351 and the PISC actuator are connected and connected to the power supply, the actuator can run immediately and the power supply between the controller and the engine can be started simultaneously.
