The Woodward Model 9903-129 generator load control unit is suitable for nuclear energy applications when connected to an acceptable generator system. The device is designed to ensure efficient conversion of electrical energy to electrical energy, exciter voltage and protection parameters are installed in this compact unit. The automatic voltage regulator in this unit is the best installation for several types of nuclear generators. The 9903-129 unit is designed to operate with two system connection options. Compatible with isolated power systems or local power systems, shunt to unlimited buses.

Each load sharing controller calculates the output, so it can raise or lower its generator output by accompanying the line voltage with its load signal voltage. The load signal voltage of the parallel wire is the average voltage of all controls connected to the parallel wire. This makes the load signal voltage of 9903-129 equal to the voltage of the parallel line and maintains the required bus load.

The isolation system can only connect one set of load distribution and speed control to the unit, while the local power system can handle up to 15 sets. When connected to either system, the 9903-129 is capable of handling soft loading and unloading.
