The unit 8272-169 is Woodward's generator load control module. Designed for special applications, this model is identified by its painted beige color scheme. The input power requirements range from 18 Vdc to 32 Vdc. The 8272-169 GLC unit is capable of operating when connected to two power systems with different options; Isolated power system options and local power system options.

In order to carry the full rated load of the generator, the potentiometer should be fully adjusted. Then, the parallel time voltage of the unit is kept equal to the voltage of the system parallel wire or the reference voltage set by the infinite bus adjustment.

If connected to an isolated power supply system, 8272-169 is connected to a parallel line. Then there is a set of speed controls and load distribution, which is able to accurately measure the voltage of the overall load of the generator. However, if connected to a local power system that is in parallel with an unlimited bus, the 8272-169 can run up to 15 load sharing and speed control.
