 Woodward is the company that develops, manufactures and distributes the 8440-1019 and other units in the SPM-D10 synchronizer family. These units are equipped with a microprocessor-based design and are intended for use in three-phase alternators as well as other generators with similar control Settings. The 8440-1019 unit comes with standard specifications and features such as phase matching and slip frequency synchronization with voltage matching. This is achieved through the discrete output terminals of unit 8440-1019. 8440-1019 provides two-phase induction of generator and connected public bus. It is also capable of implementing synchronization checks as a diagnostic function and monitoring the time it takes for accurate synchronization to occur. Installed in the 8440-1019 is the standard operating mode in the series; "Run", "Check", "Permit", and "Close". The integrated hardware on the frame of the model 8440-1019 is a two-line LCD text display for operator access to information and diagnostic information, and an integrated synchronizer. The 8440-1019 is protected by multiple passwords to keep the generator parameters stable. The nominal value of the operating voltage intake is 24 V/DC, but at least 18 V/DC is required. The 8440-1019 can withstand a maximum intake of 32 V/DC.
