The 723 Series model 9907-034 is a Woodward digital speed control unit compatible with DSLC digital synchronizers and load control. The controller is designed for generator set service using reciprocating engines. It is a high voltage model (90 to 150 Vdc (nominal value 125 Vdc) with a torsion filter for applications with elastic couplings.

Two LON channels and two serial ports provide multiple options for programming, tuning, and monitoring functions and parameters. DSLC can be accessed through one of the LON channels, while the other channel can be used for Woodward LinkNet input/output nodes. A serial channel can be connected to an HMI (or other Modbus master), a Woodward handheld programmer, or other ASCII character computer terminal, provided that the terminal has an RS-422 serial port.

This manual also details the configurable parameters of Model 9907-034 and device I/O, some of which are configurable. The 9907-034 has optical isolated discrete input and differential analog input.

The DSLC-compatible 723 controller with a torsional filter is also available in low voltage models (9907-033), as well as low and high voltage versions without a torsional filter (9907-031, 9907-032). All four models are identical except for the voltage difference and the twist filter.
