This is a hardware-only 723PLUS digital control model that does not include any software. The 9906-620 external power supply is rated for 90-150 Vdc (nominal 125 Vdc), making it a high-voltage model. Also available are low-voltage models (9906-619) and low-voltage models with improved actuator filtering (9906-700).
The 723PLUS model 9906-620 is suitable for a variety of speed control, generator load control and sagging parallel generator applications. The application range of the controller is largely dependent on the number of Woodward 9906-620 compatible accessories.
For generator load management, the 9906-620 can be connected with digital synchronizer and Load control (DSLC). The 723PLUS controller is also compatible with SPM-A synchronizers and LinkNet nodes that provide additional I/O control capabilities. As standard with the 723PLUS controller, this unit has a two-speed signal input. If the speed input frequency is in the range of 400 Hz to 15 kHz, these inputs can be used for MPUs, and if the range is between 30 Hz and 15 kHz, they can be used for proximity switches. Other I/ OS on the device include discrete and analog inputs, load distribution inputs, analog outputs, and three relay contact outputs.
