Part 8280-417 is one of two DSLC/MSLC gateway controllers in the Woodward 723PLUS series. The unit has a high-voltage power supply with an input voltage of 90-150 Vdc (nominal value is 125 Vdc). A low voltage version of the controller (model 8280-416) is also available.
The 8280-417 DSLC/MSLC Gateway controller is designed for load sharing control and generator system load management and can connect up to 14 DSLC units and 1 MSLC unit to extract generator information over the LON network. The 8280-417 can be connected to the Human Machine interface (HMI) or other Modbus master devices via two serial channels. The third port allows netmind-connected MSLC and DSLC units to receive commands and values, including mandatory commands and values for testing purposes.
When the 8280-417 controller is put into service as described in the Woodward 723PLUS Digital DSLC/MSLC Gateway Installation and Operation Product Manual 02831, it complies with EN50081-2 and EN50082-2 requirements.
