The unit is a load sharing control /Cat ADEM in the Woodward 723PLUS series. There are three part numbers associated with this control. This part number 8280-1076 refers to the system; The hardware part number is 9906-619; The part number of the application is 5601-1088. The unit has four modes of operation: load distribution, synchronization, Stop/bypass, and speed reference forwarding.

Speed synchronization and load distribution control are the two main features of the Woodward 723PLUS Load Distribution Control /Cat ADEM. For this purpose, the 8280-1076 controller has a two-speed sensor input that can be either passive (MPU) or active (proximity switch).

In addition to the two-speed sensor inputs, the Woodward 8280-1076 controller has four analog inputs, three analog outputs, three discrete outputs, and eight discrete inputs. All I/O on the 723PLUS controller has multiple defined signals and can be configured to meet the needs of a variety of applications. There are 11 discrete signals that can be assigned to any of the three discrete outputs and/or four leds on this machine. Two of these signals are secondary/primary alarms.
