Part number 8262-094 is the 723 position control for Woodward Governor. The device is part of the company's 723 position control system. The system has two control units, Model 8262-094 designed for applications requiring 4-20mA actuator output. For applications requiring 20-160mA actuator output, see 723 Model 8262-092.
The 8262-094 position controller is intended for use with the Woodward 505 digital turbine controller. If a 505 control failure occurs, the device switches the actuator output signal from 505 to 723 position control. After this switch occurs, the output signal can be manually raised or lowered.
Like other 723 and 723PLUS controllers, the 8262-094 position controller is monitored and adjusted using Woodward's handheld programmer (part number 9907-205), which plugs into one of the device's serial ports. The control can also be operated via the 723 operating board, which is an optional accessory to the system.
723 Model 8262-094 should be installed in a location that allows adequate ventilation and maintains a maximum operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C, but preferably 0 to +30 °C. The controller should be installed in a location that is waterproof, high condensation, vibration and high voltage or high current equipment.
