The unit is a low-voltage Woodward 723PLUS DSLCTM/MSLC gateway controller. Like the other 723PLUS controllers, the power requirement for this unit is 40 W. For low-voltage models 8237-1277, an input voltage range of 18 to 40 Vdc is acceptable, and A nominal surge current of 7 A is possible.

The communication port on this machine allows connections to Modbus master devices as well as multiple network-connected DSLC and MSLC devices. The 723PLUS model 8237-1277 is capable of extracting generator information from up to 14 DSLC units and 1 MSLC. After providing the Modbus address for this information, the parameters are monitored through two serial ports.
