The 8290-185 governor from Woodward's electric Governor family is part of the overall EPG system. These systems are designed for prime movers. Adding a ramp generator will allow for longer deceleration and acceleration rates. It can be installed using 12 AWG and 14 AWG wiring and should follow the appropriate length requirements.

When installing the 8290-185 with the selected actuator (524 or 1724), the actuator must be placed in a position where it can be connected. The selected link and its linearity must match the fuel control on the device. The actuator also needs to match the direction of rotation of the added fuel, which will match the direction of the fuel control. Failure to follow these instructions may result in problems between the operation of the 8290-185 and the selected actuator.
