The Woodward Model 8290-071 is part of the electric governor family. Adding magnetic pickups and actuators to this product will create a complete EPG system for prime movers. The equipment is compatible with gas and diesel-powered turbines. The speed range is 1500 to 3000 Hz, and the battery's system voltage is 12 volts. The model should be installed in a protected space while remaining near the battery and actuator. 12AWG and 14 AWG wires can be used when installing this product. Model 8290-071 is compatible only with actuator numbers 8256-022 and 8256-017.

When operating this product, the temperature should be maintained between -40 and 167 degrees Fahrenheit. The steady-state current consumption of the device is 3 amps.
