The synchronous speed control unit model 8290-062 for the Woodward electric Governor series. Adding this product to the actuator and magnetic pickup will create a complete EPG system for the prime mover. This model can be used for actuators without mechanical drive or hydraulic supply. This model is only compatible with turbines powered by gas and diesel. It is powered by a 12-volt battery and can be installed directly on the prime mover to be used. The model 8290-062 should be installed in a covered area, close to the battery and actuator, to ensure that the wire remains at the proper length. The wires that can be used with this device are 12 AWG and 14 AWG.

Model 8290-062 can be used with actuator models 8256-022 and 8256-017. It should be cooled using natural air circulation and installed in a well-ventilated location.
