5466-5001, the micromesh eddy current probe speed sensor is a four-channel sensor. The unit has multiple standards, ATEX, CSA and CE (EMC). The 5466-5001 is backward compatible and can be used with the 5464-834 unit.

The 5466-5001 module designed by Woodward is a speed sensor, specifically the speed sensor is designed as a vortex input device. One of the main features of this sensor is that there is no potentiometer, so no adjustment or calibration is required when inserting the module into the selected case. This module can be used in redundant or simplex systems. Since the module is a vortex probe/input device, it can be used to detect extremely low speeds, so a module with a vortex probe can detect speeds as low as one Hertz.

After inserting the 5466-5001 module into the selected case, it slides into one of the card rails and connects to the case motherboard. No matter which software configuration is set, the speed input channel on the device has only one eddy proof acceptable. Please note that regardless of which speed sensor input channel is connected, an unused eddy current probe/MPU on the field conversion module (FTM) must be connected.

Some potential faults may occur on the 5466-5001 module. To troubleshoot the device, please verify the following; Check the software configuration to make sure the input configuration is correct and measure the input voltage to the terminal - the appropriate voltage should be in the range of three-and-a-half to twenty-four volts. After these modules are checked or replaced, replace the FTM.
