The module 5466-5000 is a MicroNet four-channel speed sensor configured as an MPU input. This module is backward compatible and is used with units 5644-658. When the 5466-5000 module is used in a simplex system, it is connected to the analog input FTM via a low-density analog cable.

The module 5466-5000 is one of the many speed sensors in the MicroNet digital controller family. For speed sensors, there are two different types of sensor inputs, eddy current and MPU, and this particular unit is the MPU input speed sensor. This module is usually used in conjunction with the MicroNet Plus module with the AppManager service tool. There is no potentiometer on the module at all, so the unit does not need to be calibrated, and when replacing the module, as long as the same unit number is used in the case, the module does not need any adjustment.

The 5466-5000 module comes with several specifications, one of which is the isolation voltage, the device has an isolation voltage of 4VRMS to the control common and ground, with absolutely no electrical isolation between the four channels on the sensor. This module has an encoder specification, which is encoder version 06.5464 or any later version of the encoder version. The compatibility of this device is backward compatibility, but when used as a backward compatible device, it must be used with the 658-<> unit.

When the 5466-5000 unit is used in a simplex system and connected to a singular analog input Fault conversion module (FTM) via a single precision cable, the module can be used in redundant or simplex systems. Note that only one MPU can be accepted per speed input channel.
