The Woodward MicronET-Plus CPU5200 Cyber Ready Enhanced Perf is available for Micronet-Plus or MicroNet Simplex operation and the unit will always be installed in slot A1. 5466-1245 Device cannot be used with Ethernet module.
The 5466-1245 module is a network read CPU5200 with enhanced performance. The module is specifically designed as a MicroNet-Plus module and can be used in simplex or redundant I/O modules. According to the 26166V1 manual, when using this machine, two cpus must be used redundantly, they can be CPU5200 or CPU5200L modules, when inserted into the case, they will be located in the first and last VME slots, labeled A1 and A8/A14 respectively. The chassis has only one motherboard and can also accommodate twelve I/O slots, two cpus, and two power supplies.
As mentioned above, when the 5466-1245 unit requires a redundancy of two cpus, the first CPU in the case is used to control the I/O module, called the SYSCON or system controller. The second CPU in the case is the standby/backup CPU, which will receive the necessary statistics from SYSCON, and if this happens, the backup CPU can take control in case SYSCON fails.
