Woodward Microgrid plus RTN unit 5466-1046 is used for network security measures and cannot be used with CPU5200L devices due to the lack of expansion chassis. The 5466-1046 device can be reset, and doing so will immediately set the WDOG to light up red.

The 5466-1046 modules are manufactured by Woodward as part of their MicroNet family of digital controllers, which are designed as MicroNet Plus Cyber CPU5200 units. As a MicroNet Plus Cyber CPU5200 model, the board can be used to load control software, also known as GAP software. The module is also equipped with a number of different leds on the front panel, some of which are as follows: Standby, Watchdog, Link, Run and System. The purpose of the watchdog LED is to indicate when the health monitor failure has tripped, and if it has tripped, the LED will be red.

Depending on the redundancy mode used by the 5466-1046 module, there will be one or two CPU units, and usually the redundancy mode will indicate that two CPU units are required. Whether or not one of the two CPU units is installed, they reset if a +24 V remote reset signal is received. The signal will be routed to the optical isolated input of the corresponding CPU that needs to be reset. Note that if you want to reset the CPU, it will trigger the watchdog LED when a health failure is created.

Models 5466-1046 cannot be used with RTN modules because there is no RTN port available. The RTN module requires an expansion chassis. If there is no port to allow expansion, the RTN module may fail if connected to the CPU5200 device.
