The MicroNet Digital Controller 5466-1037 is a MicroNet CPU5200L, PowerPC MPC5200 unit manufactured by Woodward Incorporated for use as a simplex or redundant model. One of the main features of this model is the MOTOROLA MPC5200 processor along with 128 MB or DDR RAM. One of the reasons this device is so sought after is because of its ability to operate in simplex or redundant control mode. If the device is operating in redundant mode, it is highly recommended to have an FGPA unit that allows VMEbus slave/master function.
Another feature offered by the 5466-1037 model is the ability to have a real-time clock, the real-time clock on the device is battery-powered and does not require the device to be turned on to work. Unfortunately, if the battery runs out of power, the user cannot replace it and it must be replaced by a technician.
