Woodward Part 9907-251 Series 2301A Load distribution and speed control. With impact resistance of 60 Gs and speed sensor input of 100-300 Omega, it can be used for torque converter applications.

The 9907-251 2301A Speed and Load controller is equipped with a variety of built-in features designed for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. These features include:

Magnetic pickup (MPU) - used to minimize fuel use.

The same 2301A speed control - used to control mechanical loads for split-shaft gas turbine and torque converter applications.

The main function of the 2301A speed control is to act as a limiter to ensure that the power unit does not exceed or use too fast a speed. When looking at the magnetic pickup (MPU), it connects to a two-speed control to ensure the actuator is in a positive position to maximize fuel efficiency. By doing so, it demonstrates the use/need for dual control systems. A special 2301A speed and load controller circuit is used for installation. The controls used are strikingly similar to those of a single-control application.
