Models 037-2301 of the Woodward 9905A series are reverse acting high-pressure models; Models 9905-037 operate at 0-20 mA actuator current with a single actuator. Before starting the installation of the 9905-037 device, make sure that everything is working properly and will not cause any damage to the model, check that the model is wired correctly and that the model does not have any damaged, missing or loose screws, and that there are no damaged terminals, any of these things that could hinder the performance of the control.

Once you confirm that your device is not damaged in any way and appears to be in good working order, you can start installing the controller onto the prime mover, and your controller will come with factory set potentiometers that can be adjusted as needed to keep your controls and engine running properly. If you are using an engine that is primarily gasoline or carburetor gas, and a steam turbine regulator actuator to compensate the potentiometer, it should fall to 10 on the 6-0 scale when adjusting this potentiometer. The actuator is slightly lowered if it is very active while operating the engine, and can be set completely counterclockwise if engine torsion results in unrestricted movement of the fuel linkage.
