Model 9900-431 is a 24-volt reverse-acting load distribution and speed control manufactured by Woodward. This model is part of the 2301A series. The speed and load distribution functions of the 9900-431 model will be controlled by a gasoline or diesel engine.


Woodwards 2301A Load Distribution and Speed Control Series 9900-431 is a 24-volt reverse control unit designed for use in gasoline or diesel engines. In this reverse action control, the actuator usually requires more fuel as the voltage of the actuator increases, while the reverse action control fuel increases as the voltage decreases. There is no difference between the external connection of the reverse action control and the external connection of the direct action control. Unlike forward action controls, reverse action controls (such as this model) do not recommend starting fuel restrictions.


It is important to note that the speed range on the 9900-431 is set from 2000 Hz to 6000 Hz at the factory; These speeds can be changed, but it is wise to keep these Settings to standard so as not to cause overspeed; If the speed range must be changed, remove the cover and carefully determine which rocker switch needs to be turned on or off; For 500-1500 Hz, one rocker switch is turned on and the other three switches are in the off position.
