The ProTech model 9907-344 speed sensing unit uses a housing that complies with the North American NEMA 4 and 4X standards and the European IP54 standard. This storage module is locked and the key switch controls whether the device is in monitor mode or program mode. Parameters can be programmed and units can be tested in programming mode. MONITOR mode allows you to view only device tunable parameters, as well as the current speed and peak speed.

Each of the three units drives two voting relays and is connected in a two-thirds voting configuration. In addition, they can operate independently to monitor prime mover speed.
