The three magnetic pickups (MPUs) in the Model 9905-993 monitor the prime mover speed under overspeed conditions. If one of the three speed sensing units in this power-off trip system detects overspeed, the voter relay changes state. All three units are identical except for the power supply. The power supply for both units A and B is 24 Vdc; The power supply for unit C is 220 Vac.

The voltage range of the 24 Vdc power supply is 18 to 32 Vdc and 7.25 W. The 220 Vac supply has a voltage range of 180-264 Vac, 7.25W. The Woodward ProTech 203 series offers a variety of power supply configurations.
