Woodward's ProTech 203 9905-978 displays the actual speed of each speed probe and features a hot change module and remote rest function.
Woodward ProTech 203 Model 9905-978 uses three magnetic pickups (MPUs) to monitor overspeed conditions. The system has three MPUs, each of which interfaces with a separate speed sensing unit. If two of the three units detect overspeed conditions, the trip relay is activated. If only one device detects this, only that device will trip. The device remains in a tripping state until it is reset or re-energized.
Units A, B, and C are all housed in the same locked housing, which is IP 65 and NEMA 4 compliant. Each unit in this power-off Trip ProTech 203 model comes with its own 24 Vdc power supply.

Model 9905-978 has nine adjustable parameters. These are programmed through access to the system's PROGRAM mode, which requires unlocking the shell to prevent unauthorized changes. The programming of the 9905-978 device is done separately through the keyboard and LCD of the device, but all three units must be set to the same jump point for the system to function properly.
