Woodward's Model 9905-875 displays the actual speed of each speed probe, displays the maximum speed signal, and uses a modular design for online testing

Each MPU in the 9905-875 interfaces with one of three separate speed sensing units that are configured for two-thirds voting. All three units are housed in the same housing, which is NEMA 4 and IP 65 compliant and has a key lock feature to prevent unauthorized access to programming and testing.

The modular design and two-thirds voting of the Type 9905-875 has several benefits.

The correct output can be maintained even if one unit trips

The speed sensing units can be tested one at a time without taking the entire system offline

The prime mover can stay online while changing anyone's speed sensing unit

The 9905-875 speed sensing unit is the same. Each unit has a 24 Vdc power supply (18-32 Vdc, 7.25 W voltage range) and an operator interface. The system is programmed and tested through this interface, and the current actual speed of any individual unit can be viewed on the LCD of the unit.
