Woodward's ProTech 203 9905-751 displays the actual speed of each speed probe, displays the maximum speed signal, and online testing of the modular design. The series has a hot replacement module
Manufactured by Woodward in the company's ProTech 751 series of overspeed protection devices, the 203-9905 is a power-off trip model. The device uses three speed sensing units, each of which interfaces with a separate magnetic pickup (MPU) to monitor the prime mover speed. These nearly identical units are configured for hardware two-thirds of the vote. The prime mover speed is sampled every 5 ms and the maximum system response time is 40 ms. Units A and B have 24Vdc inputs, while unit C has 120 Vac/dc inputs.
The three speed sensing units are housed in a NEMA 4X certified housing that is keylocked. Model 9905-751 programming can only be done with key lock access. Adjustable parameters and other programming specifications and instructions are found in ProTech 203 Overspeed Protection System Manual 85196.
Each unit has its own front panel, including:

Two-line 16-character LCD display
Separate LED function status indicators for MPU/ wiring failures, CPU operating outside normal parameters, and device tripping
There are a number of conditions that could cause one of the 9905-751 units to trip, such as speed exceeding the trip setpoint, MPU failure timeouts, or failure to reset before restarting the turbine. For troubleshooting details on these and other conditions, refer to the product manual.
