Product Model 8237-1368 is the speed detection module of Woodward ProTech-GII series. It can shut down over-accelerating water, steam and gas turbines. In addition to acceleration detection, the product also utilizes MPU detection. It is resistant to sulfur pollution and is classified by the international standard IEC 721-3-3 1994. It can be used in class 3C2 environments and is resistant to SO2 and H2S gases. The Model 8237-1368 is configured to run automated routine overspeed tests. This is done via an internal frequency powered by a generator.

Panel mount is a separate relay device with high voltage power input. It has a speed reading of 4 to 20 mA.
