The unit 5488-891 is part of the SPM-D synchronizer series. The 5488-891 digital synchronizer is designed to be integrated into a three-phase alternating current generator. This model has several operating options such as R2, UF and VJH options. R2 provides the user with the ability to reverse and monitor reduced and overloaded power. The UF option is 1 ph and provides generator voltage over and under monitoring, as well as frequency over and under monitoring. The VJH option also provides this primary function, as well as phase shift monitoring.

The 5488-891 unit is capable of providing automatic frequency, phase, and voltage matching to the generator, using analog or discrete output bias signals.
