The control model 8440-1844 was an EasyGen 3000 series manufactured by Woodward. Also commonly known as easYgen-3100-1-P2, the model is housed in a sheet metal frame.

The 8440-1844 model has two leds, one for operation and the other for communication, both of which indicate several states, usually the LED will flash green, not bright at all, red/green flash, or will illuminate red. If the communication LED on the controller is red, the number of parties from the load sharing bus does not match the configuration on the controller, if the run LED is red, the unit is ready for operation, but an alarm is in place, usually this alarm is a shutdown alarm classified by class C, D, E or F.

Please note that when you connect your device, there is a protective ground terminal (Terminal 61) on both the easYgen-3100 and easYgen-3200 models, and because model 8440-1844 is an easYgen-3100 model and is therefore made of metal plate, you should not connect it to the terminal. You can use the protective ground connector located in the bottom center of the controller.
