The 8440-1715 is part of the Woodward SPM-D11 series. This unit is a load sharing synchronizer.

The 8440-1715 is a microprocessor based unit. It can be used in single-phase or three-phase alternators. Synchronizer provides automatic frequency control and voltage and phase matching. It can use discrete or analog output bias signals.

8440-1715 is Ul/cUL certified and has the CE mark. It can be configured using the front panel of the device or via a connected PC. Thanks to the unit's microprocessor technology, it offers flexible and reliable operating options, including tunable language (English or German) controls and circuit breaker status indications, as well as synchronizers. The unit has two rows of LCD displays on its front panel, allowing users to see alarm instructions and local operations. The unit also provides dead-end operation (turning off the circuit breaker on demand).
