 8440-1022 is a division of Woodward. The SPM-D21 series circuit breakers have two synchronizers and a load control module. This line is built on a microprocessor-based design and is intended to be installed into the generator system, including a range of compatible components. The 8440-1022 unit is capable of providing automatic frequency, phase and voltage regulation and matching. The 8440-1022 is designed to provide combined synchronization, as well as load and power factor control capabilities for generator circuit breakers and power circuit breakers. The synchronization of unit 8440-1022 occurs between the generator circuit breaker and the main circuit breaker. Both transducers can read and diagnose generator systems, utility buses and mains. The 8440-1022 has four different modes of operation, allowing the unit's parameters to be adjusted at different methods and speeds. The four modes are Run, Check, Off, and Allow. The unit is equipped with power parallel operation capabilities including actual power control, real RMS power calculation, as well as soft shutdown capabilities, power factor control and parameter setting. The unit's standard operating features include a two-line LCD display that provides the operator with generator diagnostics and operating information. The 8440-1022 units are established with the standard set of dimensions; 144 mm by 72 mm by 122 mm. The unit weighs at least 800 grams.
