Woodward's 8200-1300 provides digital control for steam turbines. It is one of several digital governors available in the 505 turbine control series. The device uses a standards-compliant LVDC (18-32VDC) power supply.

The 8200-1300 can control single or double split actuator turbines. It can be configured as part of a working DCS(distributed control System) or used as a standalone unit. It is designed with five PID controllers, including the speed/load PID controller, cascade PID controller, and AUX1 and AUX2 PID controllers. The unit provides an operator control panel with a graphical control panel display and keyboard. The panel includes an emergency stop button, start, Stop, esc, and home buttons, a numeric keypad, a toggle up and down button, and a return key with up and down and left/right buttons.
