The National Instruments PXIe-6738 (Part number: 783800-01) is a 16-bit, 32-channel, 1 MS/ s high density analog output module. Its analog output voltage ranges from -10 V to 10 V. The gadget is ideal for a variety of applications, such as shock response testing and high-density open-loop entertainment. If a user uses eight channels, each direct channel located in a different bank, the most extreme check rate can be achieved.
The NI PXIe-6738 also integrates 10 digital I/ O lines, 4 counters/clocks, digital triggers and drive timing to meet a wide range of user needs. The PXI Express's digital triggering and synchronization capabilities enable the analog output module to complement additional data acquisition, development, and visual projects, providing substantially modified estimated answers for creative test designs. In limited mode, the AO start trigger can be configured to retrigger. The timing motor considers each pulse on the AO start trigger signal, creating a sampling clock for the designed generation.
In PXIe 6738, the timing motor ignores the AO start trigger signal when the clock generator is advanced. After the clock generator is complete, the counter waits for another start trigger to start another clock generation. When the user creates an analog output signal, the generation is paused when the declaration interrupt is triggered. If the source of the sampling clock is an onboard clock, the generation will continue when the delay trigger is abandoned. The device is equipped with a 68-pin VHDCI I/O connector.
The PXIe-6738 runs with NIDAQmx driver software, which is compatible with package/application development environments (ades) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio. It has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes and should be calibrated at least once a year.
