The IC695CPE305 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) is part of the PACSystems RX3i automation platform. The controller was manufactured by then GE Fanuc Automation (now Emerson Automation).

The IC695CPE305 has advanced features that are superior to most PACs today. The controller has Ethernet communication capabilities through one (1) Ethernet communication port that supports 10/100 Mbps communication rates and can be used to communicate with programming workstations, human machine interface (HMI), monitoring and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, third-party hardware and software products, and controllers on the same platform. Used for message passing and data exchange between controllers. In addition, the Ethernet port supports OPC UA, allowing connection to third-party devices via the OPC protocol.

The IC695CPE305 is not limited to Ethernet communication, as the controller also integrates two (2) serial ports that support the RS232 and RS485 communication standards. It also comes with one (1) USB 2.0 master port that allows downloading and uploading user programs from the smartphone's thumb drive.

The IC695CPE305 has 5MB of RAM and 5MB of non-volatile user memory with a processor speed of 1.1 GHz and a typical scan rate of 0.72 ms per 1000 Boolean instructions. It supports several network protocols such as Ethernet (PROFINET, Ethernet global data, channels, Modbus TCP server and client), Genius, PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet. The IC695CPE305 allows control of up to eight (8) racks, including CPU racks. The controller supports the installation of additional communication cards that support serial, Genius, CMX (Reflected memory) and Ethernet.

The single-slot controller supports up to eight local racks.

The IC695CPE305 RX3i central processing unit or CPU is electrically PCI 2.2 compliant. It is compatible with universal backplanes, RX3i series PCI devices, and GE Series Type 90-30 serial devices. The module's power requirements are 1 amp (5 V DC), 1 amp (3.3 V DC), and 0.5 amp (24 V DC). It supports SNP Slave, Serial I/O, and Modbus RTU Slave serial protocols. The Ethernet interface specifications are programmer connectivity, 10Mb/ s and 100Mb/ s Ethernet data rates, 10 BaseT RJ-45 configuration, and a UDP-based remote station manager. The IC695CPE305 CPU can be installed in any pair of slots in the RX3i mainframe, except for the highest numbered slot. The CPE310 controller can be easily interchanged with a CPED305 controller that can accommodate existing user programs in the processor. In order to configure the module, Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer 7.0 SIM 3 or later is required.
