The IC695PSA040 is a GE Fanuc/Emerson Automation power module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i product family. The power supply has a rated output power of 40 watts and offers three (3) output voltage TAGs, e.g. +5.1 VDC output; The +24VDC relay output is used to power the external circuit and the + 3.3VDC is used inside the RX3i system and connects the module to the backplane. The power supply is compatible with the similar IC695 product family.
The IC695PSA040 is compatible with the RX3i universal backplane. This power supply cannot be mixed with other RX3i power supplies located in the same backplane. RX3i modules that exceed the output power capacity of the IC695PSA040 must be installed in the expansion backplane because the IC695PSA040 does not support increased capacity and redundancy.
The IC695PSA040 operates by providing a rated voltage of 120/240VAC or 125VDC and a voltage range of 84-264 VAC or 100 to 300 VDC. It has an input power requirement of 70 watts, is able to withstand 4 amps, and has a maximum duration of 250 milliseconds. For 24VDC nominal output, the output voltage range of the module is 19.2 VDC to 28.8 VDC; 5.0VDC to 5.2VDC nominal output is 5.1VDC, 3.1VDC to 3.5VDC nominal output is 3.3VDC, and output current is 0-1.6Amperes for 24VDC; 0-6 amps for 5.1VDC output, 0-9 amps for 3.3VDC output.
The IC695PSA040 is equipped with four (4) status LED indicators. These LED indicators are power, P/S failure, overheating and overload. It also has an on/off switch, located behind the hinged door of the power unit. This switch enables or disables the power supply. The switch does not cut off input power and comes with a prominent TAB that helps prevent the switch from being accidentally turned on/off.
