The VMIVME-4140 analog output board offers 32 high-quality analog output channels with 12-bit resolution that can deliver or absorb 10 mA current at ±10 V voltage. Each output is assigned a dedicated digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The analog output can be disconnected from field wiring for off-line testing. Calibration and self-test are initiated by the VMEbus system reset or by the execution of software commands. During calibration, the offset and gain coefficient tables are compiled and stored in RAM. There is an offset and gain entry corresponding to each of the 32 channels configured in the six output voltage ranges.
