The VMIC/GE Fanuc VMIVME-3230 is an 8-channel low-level input board designed specifically for thermocouple input. The board performs baseline (cold junction) temperature compensation and provides linearization for various thermocouple types. All inputs are filtered and isolated with normal mode overvoltage protection. Optional configuration provides high level input. The thermocouple connection is performed on the screw terminal, which is directly connected to the P3 connector on the front panel.
The device is part of the product lineup developed by Abaco Systems' Production and Manufacturing division. Initially, these devices were produced by General Electric, however, the module was withdrawn from General Electric's production and then purchased by Abaco Systems.
