The GE Fanuc/VIMC VMIVME-1182 provides 64 digital inputs that can be used to detect state changes (COS), mark time, and count. An onboard buffer can be programmed to store time-labeled COS information so that the SOE can be analyzed. Provides a pulse accumulator to calculate COS. The VMIVME-1182 can also be programmed to issue an interrupt when COS is detected. All COS detections are based on each channel, effectively creating 64 pulse accumulators.
VMIVME-1182 series
The VMIVME-1182 is a 64-channel isolated digital input pad with a multi-function intelligent controller. The unit was originally designed and produced by General Electric, and their subsidiary GE Fanuc Automation was subsequently produced by Abaco Systems.
The VMIVME-1182 model itself has several standard features for many such devices. This model integrates a series of 64 optical isolated inputs, providing multiple functions within each channel. There are state changes (COS) and event sequences (SOE). Additional feature Settings include pulse accumulation, time marking, and programmable dejitter time. The nominal working inputs required for the VMIVME-1182 are 5 to 250 volts of direct current, or 4 to 240 volts of alternating current. The Status Change (COS) function is capable of handling timing and detection. The VMIVME-1182 unit latches multiple input signals every millisecond.
