The IC200MDL643 split vertical input module is a GE Fanuc Versamax 24 volt DC rated positive/negative logic input module with 16 input points divided into 2 different groups. Input supports positive and negative logic. The positive logic input sends current to the common end, while the negative logic input does the opposite and receives current from the common end. Inputs with a negative logic configuration are compatible with TTL devices. The midplane provides all power supplies for module operations. The IC200MDL643 discrete input module provides 16-bit discrete input data. The device has an input impedance rating of 2.4 KΩ (typical, 12 V DC).
The IC200MDL643 vertical input module has a minimum conducting current of 1.45 mA and a minimum turning off current of 0 to 0.7 mA. The on/off response time is up to 0.25 ms. It also offers 3 configurable input filtering times to compensate for noise spikes and switch bounces of 0.25 ms, 1.25 ms and 7.25 ms. The two input groups have a common join point. A group can be used for positive or negative logic. A short circuit bar with a 2 amp current carrying capacity is available for the B terminal in case the system requires additional bus terminals. The IC200MDL643 vertical input module has an input voltage of 0 to 15 volts DC and a user input current of 1.8 mA (5 volts DC), with 9.12 mA at 4 volts DC. It has no heat derating and no external power supply. During the installation process, ensure that hot insertion is completed correctly to avoid backplane interruptions.
