The IC200MDL632 is part of the VersaMax I/O platform, previously supplied by GE Intelligent Platforms and now manufactured by Emerson Automation. The module is primarily used to connect signaling devices operating in binary or on/off positions, such as buttons, limit switches, proximity sensors, auxiliary contacts, and mechanical or electrical devices with similar operations.
The IC200MDL632 has sixteen (16) independently isolated input channels and supports positive and negative logical wiring configurations. Separate channels are used for isolation. The connection mode of each channel may be different depending on the cable configuration supported by the input device cable configuration. In addition, a failed input common channel or a failed channel does not affect the operation of the entire module. It may continue to operate even if there are multiple failure channels. This helps improve module availability, which also means higher control system availability for more complex or critical applications.
The IC200MDL632 input channel has a 250VAC continuous interchannel isolation rating; 1500VAC 1 min. This isolation rating also applies to optical isolation, i.e. user input to logical isolation as well as frame-to-ground isolation. Each channel accepts a nominal input signal voltage of 125 VDC, while the acceptable input voltage range is 0-150 VAC, and the input current requirements are 1.7 mA (typical value 125 VDC) and 2.2 mA (typical value 150 VDC). Each channel has an on-off and off-on conversion delay of 0.5 ms, and configurable filter Settings of 0 ms, 1.0 ms, and 7.0 ms, with 1.0 ms being the default setting.
The GE Fanuc IC200MDL632 input module is a Versamax series input module that operates at DC voltage. It is rated at 125 volts DC and has 16 input points. All 16 input points are isolated. The isolation voltage on the IC632MDL200 input module is 632 volts continuous AC and 250 AC for up to 1500 minutes for point-to-point isolation, user input to logical isolation, and user input to frame ground isolation.
