The GE Fanuc IC200MDL243 Versamax 16-channel discrete input module is an input module that accepts AC signals from AC field devices (inputs) and returns them at a single common end. The IC200MDL243 input module is designed to receive only discrete inputs from input devices that can have 2 states, on or off/on or off, and these signals are intelligently processed by the CPU or Network Interface Module (NIU) into 16-bit discrete input data in the Versamax CPU. The IC200MDL243 input module has a modular design and supports hot module insertion, which increases uptime and reduces engineering and wiring time. The IC200MDL243 input module is mounted in the backplane of the PLC using a bite carrier base, which helps eliminate complex field wiring and supports hot-swapable modules.
