The IC200MDL240, a discrete input module for the VersaMax I/O platform, was previously manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms and is now manufactured by Emerson Automation. The module is a sixteen (16) discrete input module that supports either positive logic or source wiring configurations. It can be used to connect field and electrical devices that provide binary or on/off signal states, such as auxiliary contacts, proximity sensors, push button devices, limit switches and similar devices.
The 16-point module accepts input signal voltages ranging from 0-132 VAC to 47-63 Hz, with a nominal signal voltage of 120 VAC and a minimum conduction current of 7 mA. The input channels are divided into two (2), each group has a dedicated public channel, and each channel consists of eight (8) channels. It has inter-group isolation ratings of 250 VAC (continuous) and 1500 VAC (lasting 1 minute). Similarly, the module's optical isolation (i.e. user input to logical isolation) and frame ground isolation are both 1500 VAC (for 1 minute) and 250 VAC (continuous).
Each channel has a turn-on response time of 1 cycle (minimum) and a turn-off response time of 2 milliseconds (minimum). The on-state voltage is 70-132 VAC and the off state voltage range is 0-40 VAC. In addition, the minimum on-state current is 7 mA, while the maximum on-state current is 1.5 mA.
The IC200MDL240 is mounted with DIN rail and supports horizontal and vertical orientation. Performance derating does not occur when the module is installed vertically, but it does occur at 132 VAC.

The IC200MDL240 input module has an on-state range of 70 to 132 volts AC and a short-off state range of 0 to 20 volts AC. The module draws all operating power from the midplane power supply. It has a maximum backplane current consumption of 5 mA at 110 V and a minimum on-state rating of 5 mA. The IC200MDL240 input module has a rated impedance of 6.60 kω at 8 Hz. The IC200MDL240 input module has 16 labeled leds that display status updates at individual input points, and a green LED indicator that shows the status of the backplane.
