The IC698CRE030 CPU is a Pentium-M redundant CPU rated at 600 MHZ. It is manufactured by GE Fanuc in the GE RX7i PACSystem family of programmable logic controller components. The IC698CRE030 CPU can be installed in the VME7 backplane of the RX64i PLC. The device has a built-in Ethernet port with a rated communication speed of 10 or 100 mb and consists of a dual port of two RJ-45 ports. The Ethernet port has an automatic sensing switch that can be used for online monitoring as well as uploading and downloading data. The Ethernet interface on the IC698CRE030 CPU allows users to monitor the PLC from a Web browser and does not require a hub or rack switch to function properly.
