The IC698CPE020 is a rack-mounted central processing module (CPU) for Emerson Automation's PACSystem RX7i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform, formerly known as GE Intelligence Platform (GE IP). This CPU module is mainly used to process downloaded user programs to execute and drive connected electrical loads.
The IC698CPE020 is equipped with a Pentium III, 700 MHz microprocessor and integrates 10 MB of user memory and 10 MB of non-volatile or flash memory. It has I/O memory designed to handle discrete %I and %Q of up to 32Kbits, and analog %AI and %AQ of up to 32K words. Up to 512 blocks can be downloaded to the processor, with a maximum single block size of 128 KB.
The CPU has two (2) built-in Ethernet ports, supports 10/100 mbps transmission rate, is compatible with Ethernet Global Data (EGD), TCP/IP communication services, and uses SRTP, Modbus/TCP server, and Modbus/TCP client.
