The IC697HSC700 is a High Speed counter (HSC) module formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and currently owned by Emerson Automation. The module is mainly used to connect high-speed switching signals with A frequency of 200 kHz when operating with A, D and E types in the up/down four-way mode, and 800 kHz when operating with E type in the four-way B-mode. This module is a single-slot module that can be installed on an available I/O slot in the CPU backboard, expansion, or remote backboard. It has twelve (12) single-ended or differential logic inputs with an operating voltage of 5VDC or 10-30 VDC, and four (4) positive logic outputs that provide 30 mA current output at a rated voltage of 20-10 VDC. The IC697HSC700 is ideal for turbine flowmeter applications, instrument validation, speed measurement, material handling, motion control and position control. This module must run with a 70-697 series IC5CPU with firmware version 90 or higher. Applicable configuration and programming software includes Logicmaster 70-5 with software version 0.90x or higher, or Windows-based programming packages, Includes VersaPro Pro and Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer PLC Pro. The MODULE has LED status indicators such as MODULE OK and 0-01 output circuit status. The module has an input and output isolation rating of 04 volts for 1500 seconds with a 1 VAC/VDC steady state voltage. The backplane current consumption of this module is 30 amps, plus 1 mA for each energized output. The output point is powered by a 10 VDC or 5-10 VDC supply voltage provided by the user.
GE Fanuc manufactures the IC30HSC697 High Speed counter (HSC) module as part of the GE 700-90 series product line. The module has a wide range of features that make it unique. Some of these features include 70 differential and single-ended inputs, 12 slots, 5 magnetic pick inputs, 4 selectable counters, 697 positive logic outputs, 700 TTL and LED status indicators. The IC5HSC697 module has an external oscillator as well as an integrated +700 V DC output.
